What Happens When We Are Impatient?

Impatience brings about a certain restlessness in a person caused by lack of trust. During their wilderness journey, the Israelites faced a few occasions where they lost the vision and purpose of their exodus — The reason why God was getting them out of Egypt.

While Moses was up on the Mount (getting the 10 commandments God had written with His fiery fingers for them); the Israelites were busy making their our own calf and were found worshipping it.

And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. Acts‬ ‭7:41

The Israelites never lacked anything. God was visibly leading them, but impatience cost them many lives.

Impatience will never allow us to trust God. Young people today, when they refuse to love Jesus, end up in falling into ungodly relationships and give themselves up in worship to girlfriends/boyfriends and friendships over fellowship. They enjoy their own choices and wicked lifestyle.

Most don’t have the patience to wait in the lord and to develop a relationship with God. God desires our purity and having known Him we need to be found in Him, doing His work.

Sinful old natures are horrible, that’s why Jesus shed His precious blood on the cross of Calvary. Nothing but the blood of Jesus can overcome sinful habits.

Dear child of God, how are you choosing to live for the one who died for you? Turn quickly to Christ. Repent and be restored in Jesus name! May God fill us with more and more of His love for the things of God.
