What happens when the Presence of God goes with us? Part-1
We need the Presence of God daily in our lives. Because when His Presence and grace goes with us, we will definitely win every opposition, adverse situations and the crooked way will be made straight. In His presence there is fullness of joy, always. That’s why the songwriter experiences his cup(heart), is not only overflowing but more than overflowing with this fullness of blessed joy!! 💖
Therefore, let’s look at the blessings of what happens when the Presence of God goes with us:
There is Rest
And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. Exodus 33:14. This was a reply given by the Lord God to Moses. In vs. 13 of the same chapter he had asked the Lord that — Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people. During the wilderness journey, by this time Moses had already realised the wonder working hand of God. He knew when God goes with him, he will surely have victory over every situation.
Not only that, even when a child of God goes through the valley of the shadow of death, it will only be a shadow of death — because the presence of God is always with him/her — for thou art with me. Psalms 23:4.
No closed doors
When the Presence of God goes before us, no doors will remain closed in front of us. See what the Lord promises — I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron: Isaiah 45:2. For example, when the Angel of God came to the prison where Peter was locked in, all of the three heavy gates opened up on their own. No armed guards could stop the Angel from delivering Peter that day.
Also, behind closed doors are hidden treasures that the Lord knows are there. And so when the Lord goes before us, He ....will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel. Isaiah 45:2-3.
None would stumble
When the Lord brought the Israelites out of Egypt, He brought them out with His high and mighty hand. The Pharoah and his kingdom had never ever witnessed the dreadful works (the 10 plagues) that the Lord God displayed before them, while bringing out His children. He brought the sons of Israel out [of Egypt] with silver and gold, And among their tribes there was not one who stumbled. Psalms 105:37. They came out of the land of bondage and slavery with a great shout of victory!
During the course of their journey, the Lord went behind them as a Rock. And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 1 Corinthians 10:4.
