Trust God
Every relationship needs trust. At home, work or church, trusting one another is key to (not just survival but) a thriving (profitable growth) lifestyle.
What does it mean to trust someone? It means to have an unshakeable belief in a person's character.
Our first understanding of trust grows in living with parents or guardians. The most common answer to 'Who do you trust the most?' is 'my parents'. But we know it's not the same for all.
God alone is the one we can trust without doubt or worry. Yet, we often fail to trust our greatest lover and eternal friend.
There are many reasons why we fail to trust Him fully at times. But there is a clarity we need about ourselves as we learn to trust our Heavenly Father.
THERE MAY BE FEARS
We may have some fears (2 Corinthians 7:5), but not enough to break our faith in God. Paul knew the state of the flesh in the presence of God. No flesh can stand in the presence of God unless Christ does not hold it. Scripture teaches us to be in His presence with fear and trembling (2 Corinthians 7:15). Paul trusted the Holy Spirit to carry him, not his strength.
There may be a POTENTIAL DANGER for you or your loved one
Abraham took Isaac for sacrifice to prove his trust in God. Peter walked on the water, knowing the danger of the storm. In Peter’s case, his fear overtook his faith. He knew the potential danger, though he initially trusted God.
TO TRUST IN GOD, WE MUST KNOW HIM
Both Abraham and Peter knew God. Abraham was at a stage where he fully trusted God. Peter was still weak in his trusting God. Nevertheless, we know from both of their lives that in knowing God, they eventually overcame their fears by faith and died in faith.
Dear believer, the end is near. Trust God alone.
There will be some fears within or potential danger to life, but when we seek God and know Him better every day. He will give us faith and victory.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
