Treasures of Heaven! (Part-3)
You know, if we would just consider about the treasures our dear Lord has reserved for you and me — we will be so filled with gratitude that our days on earth would not be as hard as it appears 🙌The Word of God is filled with promises which ascertain the beautiful inheritance He has kept for us. In this third and final post, let’s look at the remaining part of what these treasures are: ❤️
Holy Spirit as a Treasure
Yes, the Anointing of the Holy Spirit is a treasure in a believer’s life. When God anoints His child with the Anointing for the first time, what actually happens is — .. He who has also put His seal on us [that is, He has appropriated us and certified us as His] and has given us the [Holy] Spirit in our hearts as a pledge [like a security deposit to guarantee the fulfillment of His promise of eternal life]. 2 Corinthians 1:22. The Holy Spirit is God’s treasure and He gives it to those who ask of Him. But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. 2 Corinthians 4:7 ❤️
Reproach for Christ
Indeed, being reproached for the sake of Christ is a treasure! Moses had this revelation to suffer for the Lord. He was brought up in the king’s household, as the son of Pharoah’s daughter. However, as he came to realise as to who he really was, Moses could no longer stay in that place of luxury. When sufferings come in our lives, let’s not evade and push it off; but let’s go through it joyfully. Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward. Hebrews 11:26 ❤️
Good Works
Doing good to others does not come naturally to anyone and everyone. The Scripture says, whatever good we do for others, it comes from God. for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Philippians 2:13. We are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus into good works, which God prepares beforehand so that we would walk in them. Ephesians 2:10. So it is God’s desire that we do good and be rich in this treasure of good works!❤️
Wheat, Barley, Oil & Honey
Wheat and Barley here refers to the Word of God, Oil refers to Grace and Honey refers to the divine characters of Christ! ❤️
- The more we feed ourselves with the Word of God (wheat and barley) the more it enlightens us by giving us new revelations from His Word. John 6:58.
- We need His Grace(oil) because without the grace of God, moving forward in our walk with God would become hard and difficult. Oil keeps things in a state of constant running!
- Honey is sweet; and so are the divine characters of Jesus. When the characters of Christ begin to form in us, our life will begin to be a sweet savour to God and man as well.
All these treasures are very essential in the life of a believer who is preparing to go at Jesus’ coming. May the Lord fill us with these treasure of Heaven and make us worthy to be with Him!
Be blessed! 💕
