Toxic Heart

A toxic heart cannot love like Christ. What's a toxic heart?

A person with old, carnal, and unsanctified natures in his heart. 

Crete had converted Jews who still had not given up their old ways. 

The leaven in them often leavened the whole lump. They had a testimony that they were liars, evil beasts and lazy gluttons (Titus 1:12).

A toxic heart always reveals its toxicity. 

Many old believers in conservative Pentecostalist settings are dug deep in their old ways. These old believers have head knowledge of doctrines but do not trust God's word. The love of money and the desperate need to please people ravage their hearts. 

• Tell lies when they fall into trouble. 

• Remain bitter and rude. 

• Take pleasure in eating without a heart of servitude. 

There is only one way to live for the coming of Jesus.

The way of truth and love for God and His people. 

Those who don't pursue the doctrinal truth and way of life require sharp rebuking. Sadly, correction and obedience to the Holy Spirit are missing among most ministers today. 

• Jeremiah spoke out what God asked him to despite it being hard. 

• Elijah, by the power of God, took on the might of 850 priests of Baal.

• Nathan helped the great King David know the truth about his sin. 

Only the truth spoken in love can set us free from toxicity. A heart that fears God gets freed from the grasp of evil natures. 

There's little time left to bicker over the temporary. Look up! Your redemption's drawing near.
