The Lord Is Mighty To Save!

The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. Proverbs‬ ‭18:10

Yes, the name of the Lord IS and HAS BEEN a strong tower for us in the past weeks and even until this moment. As I look back into this month, so many things have been happening around me - the virus that has claimed so many lives, accidents and recurring calamities, suicides, sickness, you name it!!

But the LORD has been MIGHTY TO SAVE in the midst of these all! It is His promise - And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. Psalms‬ ‭50:15‬.

King David confesses that the Lord has been a shelter and a strong tower for him, from his enemies who came after to destroy his soul. Psalms 61:3. David looked to God and trusted Him for everything in his life. This was also one of the reasons for him being a successful king throughout his reign.

The second aspect of Proverbs 18:10 says, the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

How can we become righteous? We become righteous through the Blood of Jesus. A sinner, in a sinful state cannot run into this tower and find shelter therein because the power of sin in him/her will pull them back and not allow to run to Jesus. But, when we confess our sins and transgressions to the Lord and decide to forsake them, the Blood of Jesus will wash away our sin and sanctify us. Thereafter, we get the boldness in our spirit to run to Jesus and be safe in Him.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John‬ ‭1:7,9‬.

During these days of self - isolation and social distancing, may the Lord help us to spend more time examining our heart and life — during the course of the day and in His presence as well; and help us mend our relationship with Him.

Blessings and Love to you 💕
