The Kingdom Of God Is In Power
Believers cannot be salesmen or communicators when preaching the gospel. Today, we tell stories to sell a product or service. It's a great way to get people interested or attracted to what you are trying to convince them of. There is nothing wrong with the approach, but when it is not backed by power, it remains a good story and makes you a good storyteller. There is no value for the kingdom of God.
The kingdom of God is not in word but in power (1 Corinthians 4:20).
What is the kingdom of God? It is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17). Not self-righteousness or our feelings of peace and happiness that come from fleshly acts.
The kingdom of God is not in talk. Paul says that he did not come in excellency of speech (1 Corinthians 2:1-5). He preached the pure word of God, the gospel, the cross of Christ (1 Corinthians 15).
"But in power" refers to the true power of God that delivers, heals and restores. The power of salvation that delivers us from the power of death, sin, flesh, worldliness and satanic influences.
Dear Child of God, the kingdom of God is in your heart where Christ the King dwells. Christ dwells in our hearts when we abide in His word (John 15:3,4,7). How is our state when the word of Christ dwells in our hearts richly in all wisdom? We will find ourselves teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in our hearts to the Lord.
Give your time to labouring for the kingdom of God (John 6:27).
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
