Thanking God Is A Way Of Life for Believers

'Thanking God' is normal for a believer. We are taught to say ‘thank you’ at home, in school. Even at the workplace we thank others for all the support we get. How much more we need to thank God who makes everything good possible in life!

Why is it necessary for us to be thanking God?

1. We receive victory through the power of resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:57)
2. It is the will of God that we thank Him (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
3. For the gift of His presence (Psalms 95:2) (100:4). There is nothing like the presence of God, where there is direction for life, fullness of joy and pleasures forevermore.
4. For His peace that passes all understanding (Colossians 3:15/ Philippians 4:7)
5. He is good (Psalms 106:1/ 107:1). All who have tasted God knows he is good.

How to thank God?

1. Preach.  Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people. (1 Chronicles 16:8)
2. Sing. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works. (1 Chronicles 16:9)
3. Be enriched to give. You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous, and this [generosity, administered] through us is producing thanksgiving to God [from those who benefit]. (2 Corinthians 9:11)

When thanking God is a way of life, His power and presence will be always accessible. Life has purpose only in Christ. Thanking God for every great thing He has done for us needs to be a naturally active, daily lifestyle. When is a person able to thank God wholeheartedly? When he invites God into all his ways, acknowledging His presence, keeping His Word through surrender and praise.

Start being thankful daily. Let God’s power flow in and through you. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen.
