Seek the Holy Spirit to get out of the old lifestyle

Every believer has to get out. Get out from what? Get out of their traditional lifestyles and thinking. We still see old believers wrestling with 'thinking' that does not align with the character of Christ.

Some old still condemn and look down on others and other churches. They are stuck in the tradition of their fathers, unable to get out and live willingly in the love of Jesus.

No matter which church or culture you are born into, you need to get out of it. What if you are born into an apostolic faith church? Unlearn and learn again. Whatever we consume early fills us with a denominational spirit. Getting rid of the denominational spirit takes time. A lot of time, if you are not intentional. Maybe even 30-50 years.

The Jews were stuck up too. They boasted about Abraham being their earthly father, but Jesus called them children of the devil. (John 8:39-44).

Separate from societal pressures and religious traditions that have nothing to do with this new life in Christ.

Some, mentally stuck, think, how can I leave this church I have been going to since day one? Has God brought you into a new upgraded experience? Seek Him about it and make your next move. Some choose to stay in their old church because the network matters more than their relationship with Christ. Some others do not want to live the higher consecrated lifestyle. Others mix during cultural and religious events.

Meditating on the Bible and seeking the Holy Spirit in prayer will help you get out of the old lifestyle.

The New Testament ministry began with believers waiting In the upper room to receive the promise meant for all children of God. The promised baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).

On the fiftieth day, ten days after Jesus ascended, they were immersed in the power of the Holy Spirit. This promise still holds even today for those who are born again till the day of Christ.

The lives of the disciples and followers transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit. Every time they surrendered in prayer, the Spirit of God would work afresh.

Reject useless traditions and hold onto correct ones (2 Thessalonians 2:15).

Get out of your comfort zones and old mindsets that do not align with the Word (Mark 7:9). Seek His face to receive the strength. His Coming is near. Praise God, and Amen!
