Rest, Don't Rust

Are you rusting or resting? The older you get, you either grow in rest or rust.

The closer we get to the coming of the Lord, our battles increase. So, our faith needs to increase.

We can praise and pray ritually or because of who He is. Ritually praising God without a sincere heart will result in disinterest and a decline in our spiritual life.

We praise and pray because we know who God is. When you know why you are doing what you are doing, there is confidence to expect the best. We live a life of faith.

Judas and Demas walked as servants of God but lost their way. It was a gradual decline and not a sudden falling away.

Judas loved money more than Jesus. He did full-time ministry, leaving all outward distractions. Yet, he could not overcome the mastery of money over his own life.

Demas grew up watching the New Testament ministry flourish with great power and grace. Yet, as the Roman culture built several distractions, he gave in to the present evil world.

Our end should be greater than the beginning. It will be when we give up spirit, soul, and body to live and labour for Jesus daily.

How To Rest Daily?

  1. Come into the Father's presence to receive direction for life, unspeakable joy, and everlasting pleasures. (Psalms 16:11)

  2. As you grow in love and await the return of Jesus, your bridegroom, be comforted and comfort others. (1 Thessalonians 4:14-18)

  3. Jesus gave us a comforter in the Holy Spirit. Submit yourself to the inexplicable comfort of the anointing that breaks every yoke of bondage. (Isaiah 10:27)

Come into God's presence with thanks and praise. Let God transform your rusts into everlasting rest.

Maranatha, praise God, and Amen.
