Read Your Bible To Weed Out Your Trouble

When the definition of poor differs, our consecration suffers. The apostles are an example for believers. Believers need to pursue Jesus as they do.

Apostolic ministry does not mean you do not necessarily earn. Peter, as an apostle, lived off the gospel. He did not work a job. But Paul, as an apostle, toiled and laboured to pay and contribute to the furtherance of the gospel and the people in need (2 Thessalonians 3:6-15) (Acts 20:34).

Earning a living is not a hindrance to living a highly consecrated life. Paul was a tent maker by profession (Acts 18:3).

Where is the real issue? The idleness of the mind leads to finding fault rather than correcting in love.

There are busybodies in ministry who wander about, poking their noses into others' business rather than preaching the pure word of God, going about creating division and pushing people into a burdensome life, mentally and emotionally.

Many believers’ hearts are distracted by their wealth or its pursuits rather than knowing Jesus and telling others about Him. Instead, they give in to speaking ill of others and create confusion.

Paul goes on to say that such people need to be avoided. So they feel ashamed of such disorderly conduct, though still loved as brothers.

Jesus lived a perfect life free from the attachments of earthly promotion or people’s praise. He lived to do God's will. Paul followed the leading of Jesus and kept himself free from the burdens of monetary pursuits (but earned) to fulfil the will of God.

Why do you think you have a job, dear believer? To live for yourself or the kingdom of God? Think about these things and surrender your life to God. Be led by the Spirit in these last days to fulfil the will of God.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
