Overcoming Loneliness is possible in this life

Billions of dollars are spent on Therapy sessions, Antidepressants, Mindfulness Meditation sessions, and the like to fill existential gaps.

The lack of human connection is threatening the advanced nations today. America is increasingly suffering from it, case in point is the Las Vegas shooting incident.

In the name of technological advancement, Japan is trying to solve the loneliness issue with Virtual Wives.

There is a perceived notion that with Technology one is never bored. In fact, the instant nature of technology to provide your desires with a click has worsened the issue of Loneliness.

Scientific Research is now discovering its dangerous effects.

If you try to satisfy your life with earthly passions, and material things that only last this lifetime, Loneliness will get to you eventually. Most find meaning and purpose in the things they do (Career, Hobbies, etc.), which is again, temporary. Human relationships are necessary, but you cannot afford to depend on anyone. They will leave you one day for various reasons, good or bad.

What man needs is an eternal purpose, found only in Christ Jesus. He overcame death by rising again on the third day, proving the existence of eternity. Jesus is alive. He is a living God. He continues to set people free from slavery to a killer problem in Loneliness. A personal relationship with Jesus is life transforming, a need for mankind. Jesus will never leave you nor forsake you.

If you are a child of God, Loneliness cannot overcome you.

But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Psalm 1:2

The word of God is a delight to all those who love Jesus. When you love someone, you enjoy the presence of the person all the time. No question of being overcome by loneliness. When we understand what it means to love Jesus, we will enjoy His presence greatly and delight in His Word for us.

In Colossians 3:1, Believers are directed to set their mind on things above, and not on the things of the Earth. As we live in the natural, we need to be in the supernatural where the fight is actually happening. Man’s fight is not against flesh and blood but powers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). When we are faithful to God, He will help us overcome these battles against dark powers.

Paul and Silas, after being tortured was thrown into prison. Instead of being sad and discouraged, glorified God with singing at midnight. What happened? “And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.” (Acts‬ ‭16:26‬). What also happened that night? A Roman soldier received salvation.

It’s frightening to imagine the negative effects of Mixed Reality and Artificial Intelligence Robots in the near future, signs of which are already present today. Man’s pursuit of knowledge and advancement is only making him more distant emotionally, creating wider gaps that cannot be satiated by Technology or Earthly Passions.
