Is God Your Dwelling Place?
God's promises aren't for those who do not make Him their dwelling place. Psalm 91:9 is why the rest of the verses in the chapter are made possible.
No evil will come against those who have made the LORD most high their refuge and habitation. (Psalms 91:9, 10)
Is God your refuge? A refuge is a place to protect yourself from harm. Many leave their countries because of persecution and find refuge in developed countries that become a refuge. But don't make God only a place where you go because of trouble.
God needs to be your habitation, a dwelling place forever. When God's presence becomes our dwelling place, not only does He protect us, He gives us direction for life and the fullness of joy and kicks off our journey into His pleasures forever. (Psalms 16:11)
God's rest will help you go through trials and temptations.
Jesus was persecuted during his ministry and crucified. All, doing the perfect will of God and being under 24x7 guidance and protection of God. Did it help? Yes, He rose on the third day from the dead! The power He surrendered to during the journey raised Him after He did God's perfect will.
Are you willing to be persecuted for Jesus? If not, then how is Jesus your example? Do you compromise the word of God to save yourself from people and circumstances? If yes, examine your life now.
Give an example like Jesus gave Himself.
Consecrate your life by giving an example. Many show, but few give. Only showing will have internal long-term issues. Giving an example means a life transparent for the glory of God. An active witness across local, fellowship, workplace, and anywhere we go.
Fall in love with Jesus. You'll never be miserable or have depression overcome you in life. Watch and pray. The time is near.
Maranatha, praise God, and amen.
