How To Stay In God's Grace?
Why is God's Grace necessary? The same reason Jesus is necessary to be formed in us (Galatians 4:19). Jesus, the word of God, became flesh, full of grace and truth (John 1:14).
Here are 3 reasons why Grace is necessary;
1. For salvation for all; saved from hell. From an eternal death that plagues mankind today. (Ephesians 2:8) (Titus 2:11)
2. Justified by His blood (Romans 3:24) (Titus 3:7)
3. Redemption from sin and death (Romans 3:24) (Ephesians 1:6,7)
3 ways to sustain God's grace
Humility is essential
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. (James 4:6)
We are too naive, if we think humility can be taken lightly. God hates pride, and anyone who knows that will rein their passions and pride of this life to walk humbly before Him everyday.
God's grace finds us
Like Noah, we need to be a preacher of righteousness (2 Peter 2:5) in an increasingly dark and wicked world. He was in one, just like we are in today! Be like Noah; Just and perfect (Genesis 6:9), comforter or peace maker (Genesis 5:29). He lived a high standard life for the time.
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. (Genesis 6:8)
Grow in the knowledge of Christ
Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord (1 Peter 1:2)
In order for Grace to be multiplied in life, we need to grow in the knowledge of God. It doesn't mean we need to start mugging up the Bible word to word; but studying the scripture to understand the mind of God.
Be like Jesus, full of grace and truth. Maranatha, praise God and amen.
