How to overcome lies on a daily basis?
We are living in a time where people are willing to believe lies and non-science or nonsense. Decisions and laws are being passed at the cost of truth.
I’ve had friends urge me to make hasty decisions in the name of friendship. Decisions that go against God’s word or faith. When you disagree you are isolated and considered unfit for their tastes.
This isn’t new for believers. They, the world, did it to Jesus. They will do it to us.
To lie is a choice. Falling for a lie is a result of long term conditioning. If you are fearful, you will end up choosing the lie.
The man of God who was told not to eat any food in the place God had sent him to curse, ended up falling for a lie. He was convinced by a lying prophet. (1 Kings 13)
Jesus rebuked Peter for falling for Satans lie regarding how Jesus was sent to die on the cross (Matthew 16:23).
Overcome lies, stay in the truth
When do we fall for the lies? When we stray away from the truth. Or, we forget why we are where we are in the first place. Eve believed in Satans lie because she lost sight of God’s word. Every time we spend more time listening to everything else but God’s word, we place ourselves in the danger of forgetting God’s pure word.
We know that in the last days many will fall away. The only major reason is going astray from the word of God because of lack of personal prayer life and bible meditation.
Now is the time to live for Jesus. Now is the time dive deeper into His everlasting word of truth. When the world will believe in a delusion, believers need to live out the gospel. The time is at hand. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
