How To Know The Promise Keeping God?

The Lord is a Promise Keeping God. Not only does He give us His word of promise, He also fulfils them at the right time. However, there’s one thing that we also need to do — remain in His presence, at the right hand of God and wait on Him! Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Psalms‬ ‭16:11‬

The world is filled with troubles and aches! Look around anywhere and all that we would mostly find are — problems, sicknesses, death...!!! the list is never ending. However, children of God don’t need to worry about all of this because the Lord promised us that He has already overcome the world, for us. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John‬ ‭16:33

How did David experience God as a Promise Keeping Father?

King David kept the Lord always before him. The reason was — he had tasted the presence of God in his life and found it to be sweet to his soul. He had realised that in God’s presence there is fullness of joy and that when the Lord is at his right hand, he(David) will never be moved. Acts 2:25,26. Before stepping out for war, David had the practice of enquiring of the Lord about the war at hand. He would get the assurance of his victory and then step out. God always delivered, what He promised to David.

But there also came about a time in David’s life, where he lost the Presence of God, and found himself to be deep in sin! Nathan the prophet reminded David of the grave sin he had committed. David quickly humbled himself before God. See what he says here — Do not cast me away from Your presence And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation And sustain me with a willing spirit. Psalms‬ ‭51:11-12

The Presence of God is available for you to realise God’s faithfulness. There is fullness of joy in His Presence.

Dear child of God, the Lord loves you, very dearly. He gave His life for you. Well, you might have made mistakes and gone away from Him, but this is the right time to come back and restore your relationship with Jesus. Experience Him as the Promise Keeping God in your life as well.

Be blessed 💕
