How To Grow In Patient Love Everyday?

Being patient is an incredibly critical quality in an instant world. When the speed of getting everyday things done become quicker, we get used to it and begin planning more activities for the day. The instant world, thanks to technology, has made life a lot convenient, but also harder. Waiting has gotten harder, and patience is becoming a rare quality in individuals, especially youngsters.

Having to wait patiently for anything today is a huge challenge mentally and emotionally. Often taking a toll on many physically as well.

When we examine the life of biblical greats, we see shining examples. Men and women who won great battles and overcame the impossible by learning to wait on God for all things.

Daniel prayed, his prayer was heard by God in the very first day itself, but it was answered 21 days later.

Hannah prayed year after year for a child, continually, she was blessed with 5 kids.

Abraham and Sarah waited patiently till they had their children. Promised when he was 75, had a child at 100. Abraham had a 25 year wait.

What's the key ingredient to being patient?

All the heroes of faith in the Bible, had one major ingredient, Love. A love that produced a patience during trials, enabling them to win great victories.

Noah loved God, he was a righteous man (Genesis 7:1). He waited on God for all things; and the greatest act of patience we see from his life was building an ark because God said so, despite the fact they had never seen rain or could ever imagine a flood. He was mocked and insulted but he stood firm in God's word.

Isaiah reminds us that those who wait patiently in God will always be strengthened. God is true to His promises.

He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. (Isaiah 40:29-31)

The more we love God, our patience will increase as we go through the trials that come our way (Romans 5:3-5).
