How To Get Out Of Trouble?
Does God put His children in trouble when they disobey Him?
The answer is simple, Never! God loves His children and proves it again and again to us personally over time.
God tells Jeremiah to speak the truth to a backsliding Israel. Irrespective of what the consequences may be. He warned Jeremiah not to fear how they may make him feel or scary they may seem.
But you [Jeremiah], gird up your loins [in preparation]! Get up and tell them all which I command you. Do not be distraught and break down at the sight of their [hostile] faces, or I will bewilder you before them and allow you to be overcome.
(Jeremiah 1:17)
Truth protects us from the trouble
When you value the truth, you will never pander to cheap talk. Cheap talk is more expensive than you think.
When we speak the truth, we set ourselves free, and the truth spoken frees those who accept it wholeheartedly. Those who do not value the truth end up speaking or accepting lies. Cheap talk or diluting truth is harmful to the soul.
It's not that God will harm Jeremiah, but the lies will hurt him if he does not speak what God needs for him to speak out.
How much do you value the words you speak? Words have consequences. Prepare your heart in truth to speak the truth.
Maranatha, praise God, and Amen.
