How To Edit Your Life Before Death?
Jesus came to save sinners, not the righteous. All have sinned, but sin creates self righteousness which rejects the need for change.
The religious leaders thought highly of themselves. They did not want Jesus to teach them anything. Yet, those sinners who admitted their true state before Jesus and walked with Him got transformed.
The word of God is the best editor of our lives. When we love God, follow Jesus, the Holy Spirit teaches us from the revealed will of God and life of Jesus. When we meditate on God’s word, we delight in a new way of thinking and doing.
What to edit in life before death?
- We need to place our thoughts & imaginations under the feet of Jesus. Every spirit that inspires or motivates needs to be tested through the word of God (2 Cor 10:5) (1 John 4:1)
- Our intent is known to God (Hebrews 4:12). King Saul intentionally wanted to kill David. The Word helps us understand the intent behind every good work we do.
- Doctrine (2 Timothy 3:16)- Beware of preachers of false doctrines (Revelation 2:14-16). Listening to multiple preachers will confuse you. Stick to one as per Holy Spirit leading.
- Instruction - God instructed Moses to speak to the rock. He smote it twice. His journey, God shortened. We need to learn to walk according to God’s instructions.
- Correction - Apollos was an eloquent preacher, but his preaching needed correction (Acts 18:24-26). The Holy Spirit will guide us to correct self and others.
- Reproof - Jesus rebukes Peter for falling to the devils' emotional manipulation (Matthew 16.23). We will know when to rebuke others.
- Divine healing - God sends His word to heal (Psalms 107:20). When you read God’s word expect healing for your spirit, soul and body.
Don’t simply read the Bible. Meditate on it to correct your life on the go. Jesus is coming soon for His faithful bride. Maranatha, praise God and amen!
