How to be still and know God?

We are in the last days, and the spiritual storms are raging wild. Bible prophecies are getting fulfilled. The world is increasing in sin, and the church is waxing cold in love. Despite the darkness engulfing the earth, the light of Christ grows brighter.

When the disciples were in the boat with Jesus, the storm scared them. The boat got almost filled with water, and they feared they would drown. But Jesus was still asleep in another area of the ship. The God of all creation was resting despite the storm. But the disciples lacked the faith to be still. Even with Jesus present physically before their eyes, they got fearful. They had no peace in their hearts even though the Prince of Peace was with them. 

Sometimes, we find ourselves in such a state. Though anointed by the Holy Spirit of Peace, and experienced the immediate peaceful presence of God, we still get scared. When does this happen? When we do not stay still to know God.

What happens when you stay still? You will know God as the only One who deserves all the glory and praise. 

HOW TO STAY STILL?

1. 🕊️ BE AT PEACE. When a storm makes you feel, all is lost, receive His peace in prayer and meditate on His promises. 

2. 🤍 KEEP YOURSELF HOLY. Daniel kept still by separating from the temptations his environment could draw him into. God glorified Himself by stopping the mouth of the lions. 

3. 🔥 WALK BY FAITH. Shadrach, Meschech and Abednego stood still in faith that proved more fiery than the trial by fire. The Holy Spirit was with them for protection.

You are the light of the world, dear believer. Bright on! Jesus is coming to get you home forever in His love.
