How to be a doer of God’s word?

Do you minister to many? Are you being used by God to heal and manifest in various gifts? Is your talent being used to glorify God? All these mean nothing to God, though it may seem a lot to the nominal believers eye.

“And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.”

1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:2‬ ‭

All our godly works are pointless if we aren’t walking in obedience. Judas, Demas, and many disciples did mighty works but lost their way eventually. We need to walk in love! God’s love not only serves others but also protects us.

Be a doer of God’s word because love constrains you

After everything wise and knowledgeable King Solomon learnt of the world, he concluded two things necessary for all mankind;

  1. Fear God
  2. Keep His commandments

Nothing about “doing” ministry or doing works for God.

Doing something for God is a natural outcome of fearing God and walking in His commandments. Without the above two, everything else we do is fleshly, even if we think we are doing for God.

What is the ONE most important desire of God from our lives? Love others like Jesus loves us. In order to love and live out the faith, we need to humbly receive the word of God. Become zero like Jesus for God to exalt you. Become empty for God to fill you. Separate from fleshly desires and habits that tear the soul.

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

James 1:21

Stay focused on what's most important for your life. Your faithfulness to God in all He is leading you into. Nothing else matters. Prepare yourself to meet Jesus. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
