How Are Anger And Pride Related?
PRIDE AND ANGER ALWAYS GO TOGETHER. They are conjoined twins which cannot be separated. However if one of them is separated, the other dies 😊
What does God say about the pride and anger of Moab?
We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogancy, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart. I know his wrath, saith the Lord; but it shall not be so; his lies shall not so effect it. Jeremiah 48:29-30
In the book of Job, the Sea is compared to Pride and the roaring waves of the sea to Anger. He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud. Job 26:12. And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed? Job 38:11.
That’s why the good Lord did not keep the Sea in the coming Eternity. And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. Revelation 21:1.
Anger - In our everyday lives we may get angry or even very angry, but we need to be careful about how our words are during that time. Let not our voice roar like the sea. Jeremiah 6:23, 50:42. Wherever the nature of the Sea exists, there the beast is also present. Revelation 13:1. King Uzziah’s heart was lifted up and he became wrathful; he went ahead and did the ministry which had to be done by the priests. 2 Chronicles 26:16,19.
Some are clever to hide their anger and keep it within themselves. It’s like pressing down vomit and keeping it within ourselves, and that has never been helpful for anyone. That’s why St.Paul writing to the Ephesians says, Be ye angry but sin not. Ephesians 4:26. Therefore let’s henceforward remember to not only remove the root of anger which is pride but destroy the seed as well.
May God help us ❤️
