Grace And Truth

What are you full of? Jesus was full of grace and truth. As followers of Jesus, we need to be full of grace and truth. Jesus says you are the light of the world. In other words, we are full of grace and truth in Christ.

By definition, grace means unmerited favour. What favour have we received?

Sin made us unworthy. Jesus made us worthy to receive favour i.e., Himself. Jesus is grace and truth!

HOW TO UNDERSTAND GRACE AND TRUTH?

Grace and truth work together.

When we see Grace as the state of the heart and Truth as the state of the mind, the road ahead gets clearer.

  • Humility of the mind is an outcome of the truth. Grace keeps us lowly in heart or poor in our spirit.

  • Grace is the riches of God's love, peace, joy, hope, etc. Knowledge, wisdom, and understanding (Truth) are treasures better than gold and silver or precious jewels.

  • Truth is the seed of God's word in our mind, and Grace is the fruit of the Spirit-filled heart revealed in our lifestyle.

  • Grace gives us strength to hold on to the truth during the journey (2 Corinthians 12:9)

  • By grace, we delight or remain joyful because the truth keeps us free.

  • Grace gives boldness. Truth helps us stand.

  • Grace helps us worship wholeheartedly as we meditate on God's promises

Without His grace, we can do nothing good. That is the truth!

When we realise this truth about grace, we'll learn to hate this world and live for the eternity God has called us into.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
