God is still doing miracles as He did in the Old Testament

"I moved to the Middle East with my wife after I got a job with an MNC. After a couple of years, I lost my job. While looking for a new one, we spent quality time in prayer. In one prayer meeting, I told the Lord I would open my house for prayer if He gave me a job. Within a week, I got a job.

We decided to move to a more spacious apartment. I found an apartment that belonged to a Sheikh. My neighbour was from another ME country. They deeply hated Christians. The walls were so thin that we could hear them when they spoke loudly.

I remembered that I had promised God my house would be a house of prayer. When we examined the reality of the situation using our logic, we were terrified about using our home for prayers. We are Pentecostals and get as loud as we can. Of course, we know how to tone down where necessary. But, even if all the believers tone down, the collective sound will be loud enough for the neighbouring human ears. We had the Shiekh living downstairs and another ME country family known to hate Christians living beside us. We were between the devil and the deep blue sea.

We still went ahead in faith and called our Pastor to pray over the house. He prayed, and the meetings started. Everyone would come on time, pray and leave. One day, a brother came late. When he entered the room, he stopped the prayer saying why are we so loud? He could hear it at the gate. To which the entire group of believers gasped in surprise and fear.

Then it dawned on me. God heard the prayer of the Pastor. The Pastor had prayed, "Lord, let not the neighbours hear the sound of prayer." Praise God! We continued with these meetings until I had to leave the country for another job elsewhere."

God is awesome, and so are his ways.

We serve a mighty God who still does the same kind of miracles and wonders He did in the Old Testament. He is an unchanging God, Everlasting Father, the same yesterday, today and forever. Prepare to meet Jesus. Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
