Do You Know How To Drink Like A King?

How do King's drink if drinking isn’t for Kings?

It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink: (Proverbs 31:4)

A king cannot run a kingdom if he is a drinker. Considering the lavish lifestyle of Old Testament kings, the risk of intoxicating oneself is real. Daniel even abstained from eating rich food in King Nebuchadnezzar’s palace.

Many believers pride in the fact they don’t drink; what’s scary is the pride they are drunk in.

Godly kings feast to strengthen themselves; while ungodly kings drink to get drunk. Are you strengthening your spiritual body? Are you feasting on the bread of life and living water?

Blessed art thou, O land, when thy king is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season, for strength, and not for drunkenness! (Ecclesiastes 10:17)

Saul was drunk with pride, rage and jealousy against David; what good did it do him? A terrible end, as his impatience and disobedience took over him.

Many young believers are drunk in their pride, desperate for success. They want to make money without building their foundation in what’s truly essential for a godly future. Who are you?

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

Desire to be filled in the Spirit of God to bear the fruit of the Spirit of God in your life.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” (‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5:22-23‬)

Jesus is coming soon for those who are drunk in the Spirit of God, eagerly awaiting His appearing. Praise God and Amen.
