Armour of Light

There are different kinds of armour mentioned in the word of God.In Romans 13:12, we learn about the armour of light.“The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.” (Romans 13:12)There is much we can learn from the word of God concerning the armour of light. Here are two revelations about this armour of light we need to put on in our daily lives.1. Light of Truth2. Light of FellowshipLight of Truth“O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.” (Psalms 43:3)When we put on this armour of light we are led to the dwelling place of God, His holy hill and tabernacles. Only the truth can set us free. The truth leads us in the way we should go (Psalms 119:105). God anoints his children with the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of truth, and brings us to the truth (John 16:13).Light of Fellowship“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14)When we put on this light, we separate ourselves from non believers and ungodliness. The separation is not necessarily from people but from their sinful or religious ways. Friendships with the world are dangerous for children of God. Fellowship keeps us grounded and prepared for the day we have been called for. If Jesus isn't the reason for every get together, then we are bound to wander away from the presence of God.The apostles and other believers gathered every evening to pray and have communion with each other, a model for Christians to follow (Acts 2:42-47).
