Are you on track?

I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. Ecclesiastes‬ ‭9:11‬ ‭

We know the story of the race between the hare and the tortoise. It was quite obvious that the hare would definitely win. No doubt!! The hare was also pretty sure himself.

The race began and the poor tortoise had barely begun when his opponent was already out of sight🙂 The hare thought of taking a nap after he had run quite a distance because there was no way the tortoise would overtake him.

That was where the swift hare made the mistake. He was filled with pride when he began the race. He thought he would reach the end easily and so he slept.

The tortoise on the other end, though slow yet was moving steadily. He did not look at how the hare was running. His eyes were fixed on the flag at the end of the race. He overtook the sleeping hare to be declared the winner in the end.

Our life is like a race. It is not a race for the quick and the smart. It is a race that has to be run patiently until the end. Every Christian isn’t in this race. It is run by those who are born again, are saved, have taken the right water baptism, received the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and are going to the right fellowship.

Look to Jesus - the Author and Finisher of your race - Hebrews 12:2. One must also run lawfully, not as he/she likes. Which means the runner has to run within his track.

The track refers to the body of Jesus on the Cross by which a new and a living way was opened for us - Hebrews 10:19,20. We need to run in the track kept for us only then can we get the crown.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness,.... 2 Timothy 4:7,8.

Run this race by asking Grace from God. Keep your eyes only on Jesus and let nothing distract you. Run patiently till the end and you will get your reward from the Saviour.

Be blessed 💕
