A Dead Life Is A Scripture-less Journey

What’s the difference between a believer who lives like Jesus is dead, versus, one who believes He is a living God? One, lives like no one is watching. The other, lives like God is watching. One reads the bible because he has to; the other reads because the word of God is life.

Consider these verses to recognise your true spiritual state. While there are many other verses, take a look at these scriptures to examine your life, prayerfully.

5 scriptures that reveal a believers journey

  1. Hebrews 11:6 | Believing that 'He is'. Every believer needs to believe that God is present; then only will your prayer be sincere, as well as lifestyle. Faith is believing that God is present. He is present when you pray, meditate the word, etc.
  2. Hebrews 13:5 | Everyone may forsake me, He will never leave me nor forsake me. It’s impossible for God to leave us because He has promised it. He never lies. The devil always discourages new or weak believers by constantly pushing the lie that God has left you. Never believe such a lie after you’ve repented sincerely. We are alone, but not lonely or unloved because God is present and loving us now.
  3. Philippians 4:13 | I can do all things through Christ. This is not about doing whatever you feel like. But, doing all good that He desires and is in His will. As lovers of God we receive strength from Jesus to do God's will, daily.
  4. Psalms 1:2 | I delight in the word of God. We experience a joy in our hearts when we study or meditate the word of God. God delights in His creation. I delight in His every Word for me.
  5. Romans 14:17 | Rejoicing in the Holy Spirit strengthens me. When everything seems or feels over, and you bring your true repentant self before Him, His anointing sets you free. We experience true righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit as He sheds the love of God in our hearts.

If none of the above is truth to a believer, he or she is worshipping a dead god, a false christ. Reach out to your spiritually ailing brother or sister in Christ. The time to fly is here. Maranatha, Praise God and Amen!
