6 Blessings In Serving God Everyday! (1/2)
Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.
And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? Daniel 6:16, 20
A Brief Background:
Daniel was a man of God who served God continually with his whole heart. In an upstairs room of his house he had windows open towards Jerusalem. There, just as he had always done, he knelt down and prayed to God, three times in a day 🙌 Well...he was not an ordinary person!! He was a VIP in the kingdom of King Darius. Daniel 6:1,2. In spite of his busy schedule, he found time to kneel before God three times daily. In the book of Daniel we find many occasions wherein his devotion to God worked wonders on his behalf; one such being delivered from the den of lions.
With this background picture, here are the 6 blessings we receive as well by serving the Lord everyday like Daniel:
- Blessing of discipleship - Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; John 8:31. When we abide by the Word of God, and continue to live according to what the Scriptures teaches us, we become His disciples.
- Blessing of Safety - Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe: and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually. Psalms 119:117. Those who give regard to the statutes of God daily in their lives, they will be preserved safely.
