4 Godly Natures In Abraham!

Abraham was no doubt a great man. He loved God and God loved him too 🙌 He was called the Friend of God. He is also known as the Father of believers.

Nevertheless, apart from this, let me introduce you to the 4 other good natures or qualities found in Abraham:

His Vision

In Genesis 12:1, when God called Abraham out of his father’s house, He asked him to step ahead to a land that the Lord would show him. Abraham obeyed God and stepped out by faith. Genesis 12:4. The vision of the land that the Lord was taking him towards, was clear before his eyes. Abraham passed away before he could reach the Promised Land of Canaan, but, he had already seen in afar of. Hebrews 11:13. Dear believer, make your vision bright and clear as well!

His Obedience

Abraham is known for his Implicit Obedience. He obeyed God without a shadow of doubt because he knew the God who called him was Faithful and able to perform!! After Isaac was born, God wanted to test Abraham to see if he still loved God as before. The Lord asked him to go to Mount Moriah and offer his only son. We see Abraham passed this test with flying colours!! Jehovah-Jireh! Genesis 22:10-14.

His Faith

Abraham believed God and that was counted as righteousness unto him. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Romans‬ ‭4:3‬. You know, Abraham and Sarah had already become very old to bear children. But he did not stagger at God’s promise to him that He would bless him with a son. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. Romans‬ ‭4:20-21‬. When he was 100, Isaac was born.

No Expectation of Reward

The king of Sodom came to reward Abraham with goodies, after the battle between the four kings versus the five kings. Genesis 14. In the process, they took Lot, Abraham’s nephew and his goods, women and the people as hostages too. Abraham went after those kings with 318 of his trained servants, defeated them and brought back all hostages. And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself. And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the Lord, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth, That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich: Genesis‬ ‭14:21-23‬

Just like Abraham who lived a life completely depending on God, we the New Testament saints also called the children of Abraham, are called to live a more better life. May the Lord help us!

Instead of thy fathers shall be thy children, whom thou mayest make princes in all the earth. Psalms‬ ‭45:16‬

Be blessed! 💕
