4 Basic Tips To Not Be Wanting!
Just as we fulfil the needs of our body (physically) everyday, the needs of the spirit man (the inner man) must also be met on a daily basis. We eat food, hit the gym, do some exercises, take a walk every morning to get some fresh air into our system, read books and carry out mental exercises, so on and so forth — basically to keep ourselves fit and ready for the day! ✨🌟 After all 🤷🏻♀️ a healthy heart and a healthy mind brings about a healthy body🐥🦋
But then... !!! Have you also noticed that sometimes, even after doing most of the above, a feeling of dissatisfaction and lack hangs in the air wherein one is left grumpy and unmotivated?
Well, just like I mentioned earlier, that’s the Cry of the inner man/the spirit man/the heart ❤️ which is hungry and desires to be fed and comforted!! Let me tell you, the needs of the heart can be met only by the Creator who made it!
Here are a few basic pointers to help one come out of a state of Lack!
- By always having the fear of God - Fear of God means the realisation of God’s power and His Amazing Love towards us. The fear of the Lord is clean! Perfect Love casts out every fear. When we fear God, we will never be wanting! O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him. Psalms 34:9
- Seek the Lord throughout the day - King David says - O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; Psalms 63:1. Why? Because he knew that the loving kindness of God is better than life. Dearly beloved, they that seek the Lord will not want any good thing. Psalms 34:10.
- Being Faithful in our tithes and offerings - Tithes and Offerings does not only mean giving one-tenth of our money to God; it also refers to giving our time to Him — that is, how we spend 24 hours of the day given to us. 1/10th of 24 hours is 2.4 hours. Offerings refer to voluntarily spending time with God apart from daily tithe of time. Malachi 3:10.
- Allowing Jesus to be in our ship called Life - Peter was a born fisherman, he knew his trade in and out. But there came a day in his life when he couldn’t fetch even a single fish when he went fishing out with his folks that day! He came back to the shore and as per the advice to him by Jesus, when they launched into the deep and let down their nets for a haul, MIRACLE HAPPENED. Luke 5:6 — And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.
