10 Sins We Take For Granted
As a child, I thought I was better than most Christians and better than the unsaved. Why? I didn't do any of those sins like smoking, drinking, etc. I realised later how Pharisee-like I was!
Here are ten sins we cannot take for granted.
Disobedience to God’s word (1 John 3:4)
Not praying for others (1 Samuel 12:23)
Illegal earnings (Proverbs 10:16)
Foolish thinking (Proverbs 24:9)
Pride. God weeps when His people walk in pride (Jeremiah 13:17)
Fullness of bread - living a convenient life
Pleasures - enjoying the flesh and the world more than God (Ezekiel 16:49) by
Not doing good when you can (James 4:17) (Ezekiel 21:6,7)(Isaiah 55:12)
No faith (Romans 14:23)
Neglecting gifts (1 Timothy 4:14)
Paul realises his wretchedness after growing in Christ's love. The body of death we live in temporarily is daily fighting to rule over us. Only Christ can rule over fleshly natures for us. As Paul said, not I, but Christ lives in me. Let's also walk in obedience as Jesus walked.
Hide God's word in your heart to overcome sin daily. Even if the righteous fall, God lifts him. Prepare to fly.
Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
