Be Little!

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 1 Peter‬ ‭5:8‬

Here’s the thing - The adversary, devil, walks about like a roaring lion and seeking whom to devour. Which means he is just pretending to be one; but isn’t really.

Jesus is the actual Lion belonging to the tribe of Judah. He draws people to Him by His love, keeps them close to Him and He helps them.

David, in the Old Testament, was a little boy who literally destroyed a lion, that came against him and his flock. As soon as the predator took a lamb out of his flock, little David ran after them, smote him, killed and delivered the lamb out of its mouth. 1 Samuel 17:34,35.

What am I trying to tell you exactly? 😊 We need to be little for God to work wonders in and through us. Being little refers to being humble. Those who are little/humble are mighty in the sight of God. Such people are not intimidated by the roaring lion.

Gradually as this little boy became big and then a King, look at what he continues to tell God - Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and he said, Who am I, O Lord God? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto? 2 Samuel‬ ‭7:18‬ This is how David began his life as a king.

Now, even as he was ending his life, David still asks the same question to the Lord. But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee. 1 Chronicles‬ ‭29:14‬

King Saul, King Solomon, Gideon the judge, began their lives as little, but as they grew they became something. They were devoured by the roaring lion. Therefore, if we always remain little in Christian Life, then we can destroy or overpower the Roaring Lion. The Roaring Lion can also be compared to sin. Sickness, problems are his agents and these cannot go against us if we are humble.

Be little and let the Lion of the Tribe of Judah be born in you!! No enemy will dare to go against you! May God help us.

Be blessed 💕
