4 Ways The Enemy Goes Against Believers!

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬

This verse mentions the 4 levels of dominion found amongst the group of the fallen angels; however, my intention in this post isn’t about detailing the meaning and significance of each of these position. I would like to share with you about how the enemy uses these 4 positions against the believers in the church.

  • Principalities
  • Powers
  • Rulers of the darkness of this world
  • Spiritual wickedness in high places.

Principalities - Holding the desire to grab a high position amongst believers. Suppose this desire isn’t granted to those who longed for it, they get easily offended and lose the good conscience they once had. Our prayer and desire should be to remain as faithful and sincere servants of the Lord, serving Him with humility.

Powers - Having a dominating spirit over others. Remember, if we give room for this mindset to work and build in us, we are actually building the synagogue of Satan within us. How do we overcome this? By submitting ourselves to God and being submissive to one another in the love of God.

Rulers of darkness of this world - Allowing the rule of certain Old Man natures. We might have been saved, taken water baptism and received the anointing of the Holy Spirit, nevertheless, if pride, self, anger bitterness and hatred rules us, we are allowing the devil to build his synagogue in us. Now if we don’t want the self/fleshly natures to work in us then let’s allow the Father, Jesus and Holy Spirit to rule us.

Spiritual wickedness in high places - Creating division among people in leadership positions. But God is a God who makes peace in the high places. Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places. Job‬ ‭25:2‬. The Temple of God is a place where peace is found in the high places. God wants us to be people who live in peace, make peace and love peace. Let’s be peacemakers where God has kept us.

May the Lord help us! 💕
