Play Your Part

God is not magically going to transform you. First, recognise the need for transformation. Then surrender yourself in loving obedience to His word. There is a labour expected of you as functioning born-again believers.

  • Abraham gave up his most loved possession on the sacrificial altar

  • Job made a covenant with his eyes

  • Daniel purposed in his heart

  • David encourages himself in the lord

  • Joshua and Caleb refused to see with their earthly eyes

  • Ruth remained with Naomi

  • Paul and Silas prayed in jail

These are steps believers take by faith. Why? In one word, Love. Love for God. Love for the only ONE they knew could transform their lives. They struggled in their journey but remained diligent in continuing to pursue the Holy One of Israel.

How are you labouring or doing your part as a born-again believer?

Do you use social media to glorify Christ or to showcase your temporal material, physical, and financial blessings?

In the 24 hours of the day, do you labour for Chris, or is it all about your land, earthly family, career or job?

Hebrews 11 provides a picture of how the heroes of faith lived for God. The New Testament saints (ministers and believers) gave their lives for the gospel. They invested their 24 hours in prayer and holy communion apart from their earthly work.

Are you seeking the riches of heaven as born-again believers or craving for temporal riches?

Are you walking by faith in your workplace or fearful about losing your job or promotion when your faith gets challenged?

There is no time left. Any moment Jesus will appear. Let the Spirit of God convert our careless attitude into care-filled living. Now is the time to surrender your life.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
