Are you crucifying Jesus again and again?

When you please people at the cost of the Word of God, you crucify Christ.

Pilate crucified Christ to please people. He did not get convinced by the people about any wrongdoing of Jesus. He believed Jesus did no wrong. His wife warned him about going against Jesus because of a dream she saw. Still, he decided to crucify Christ because he wanted to please people. Nothing moved him to care for Jesus. The only most simple decision in his entire career turned controversial.

He was only thinking about himself, His position, his family, his safety and his promotion in life. He did not care about getting an innocent and peaceful man killed.

When you examine your life, how many times in a day do you crucify Jesus as a believer?

Are you being a witness of Jesus? Or crucifying Him at home, church, work and wherever you go?

Many believers in these last days are living like Pilate. They love their positions, actively promote worldly doctrines at the cost of God’s word on social media, and blend with an ungodly culture like Israel did back in the day.

Corporate culture creates false perceptions about who we are. It’s built to make us look successful and safe. It first erodes every fabric of one’s understanding of who God is in a person's life by providing economic and physical covers. Over time, material blessings follow. We tend to feel this grandeur that’s new and feels great. The spiritual man finds himself in the middle of a great company of people with a new high-paying corporate job. The future looks good suddenly. “Ah! how God has blessed me." Only to realise later how convoluted earthly blessings can get.

Many are falling prey to the demands of their jobs and careers, crippling their inner man to root for the temporary rather than the eternal. Today, we access information our forefathers could never dream of! Yet they predicted the future by the power of God’s grace. When we look around us and give in to the pressures of this world, we end up crucifying Christ.

Are you willing to die for Jesus?

Are you willing to lose all?

When He is your truth and strength,

On the day of the trial, you will stand tall.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
