Who can I expect from?

Life is all about expectations. Be it Church, Family, or Work, we are setting expectations about ourselves to others and we expect a certain level of deliverability from others all the time.Children expect their parents to provide. Parents expect their children to obey. Managers expects the employees to do his job. So on, and so forth...We grow up believing in people and situations and often get dejected when our expectations do not match the results.“My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.” Psalms‬ ‭62:5‬ ‭We were created to be loved by God. So our expectation must be only from Him. King David trusted God alone. For every area in his life, He trusted God to deliver.We can never be sure about anyone or anything in this world. Except, like David and Paul, expect from God and live for Him alone."According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.” Philippians‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭Jesus said that man will not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Who should we expect from? God, and His amazing word in Christ Jesus.God never disappoints. He is God. All He does is perfect. "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want". There will not be any lack when you trust in Jesus.Many a times we pray with great expectation in the presence of God but do not receive. Why? Either we are asking what's not in his will or asking something which will never be good for us.God alone knows what's best for us. Let's set our expectations on Jesus alone. on His Holy and precious word. When we trust and expect God to deliver according to His Word, the Spirit of God follows suit, bringing strength and peace to wait in the Lord.
