What’s The Reason For Your Sickness?
If someone wishes for good health, one must first ask oneself if he is ready to do away with the reasons for his illness. Only then is it possible to help him.

The above is a quote by the great Greek Physician Hippocrates, on having Good Health. Right from time immemorial, we see man was always conscious about his health (not only body, but even spirit and soul)
Man was quite thoughtful of his physical needs. A sound body and mind was, and even now considered the greatest asset a person could have while on earth. Even though there has been a huge advancement in medicine and technology; yet none of us entirely know how to keep ourselves fit and free of sickness, forever.
Now, as children of God we know, our Lord is also equally mindful about our good health - physically, spiritually and materially. The Scriptures are filled with His promises to us on keeping us hale and hearty❤️
GOD ISNT A MAN TO LIE. HE KEEPS WHAT HE SAYS.
And He said, “If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the LORD your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the LORD, am your healer”- Exodus 15:26.
The million dollar question — Why then do people of God fall sick ? Simple answers:
- Disobedience to God
- Doubting His Word
- Transgressing His Word
- Lack of Trust on Him
- Sin
King Asa fell sick when he was 29 (2 Chronicles 16:12) Knowing God he didn’t trust Him for his healing but depended on doctors completely. He died in his sickness. Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a leper. He sought for help from Elisha the prophet (2 kings 5:11,13) Naaman felt rather unpleasant of Elisha’s prescription - he was asked to dip himself in the River Jordan, seven times. Though he got irritated first, obedience to Elisha’s word got him healing.
The man lying at the Pool of Bethesda was sick for 38 long years (John 5:5,6) After Jesus healed him, He said, sin no more lest a worse thing come unto thee.
Beloved child of God if you are also sick I would urge you to search your heart and life and see where you have gone against God. Repent and confess your shortcomings to Him. He is a merciful Father, ever ready to help you when you go to Him. Oh yes!! He is very much thoughtful of you.
