Are you a preacher? Do you love to preach the word of God? Does your delight in the Word of God reflect in your preaching?

Preaching is not just publicising the good news. There is nothing to boast about as a preacher. Every Christian is blessed to preach the good news of the gospel. In fact, as Paul writes, Woe to the person who does not preach the gospel.

‘For if I [merely] preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast about, for I am compelled [that is, absolutely obligated to do it]. Woe to me if I do not preach the good news [of salvation]! ‘ (1 Corinthians 9:16)

In Preaching, there needs to be a (p)REACHING. God has placed five different types of offices to minister to His flock. God has also given grace to everyone so they manifest Christ for His glory. Know your role and live for Jesus. What do I mean by a ‘reaching’? The preaching must reach those it’s intended for. It needs to feed the flock without any personal gain, but as examples in Christ, be delivered for their freedom and growth. Jesus shed His precious blood for ALL of mankind. For each and every soul.

What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26)

There are many different ways to reach a person. The goal of every preacher should be that (pr)EACH should be nourished and cared for. This is where it starts to get real tough. This is where most of the flock forget the value of a Pastor or Minister. The pains and burdens they undergo for the sake of each and every member of their flock.

Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins. James 5:20

When a Pastor or any saint, gets their focus on each member, there comes an (pre)ACHING. Christian life is a life full of suffering. Mental, emotional, and physical suffering. Yet there is a great joy in the middle of all the suffering.

‘For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: ‘ (1 Peter 2:21)

There are a lot many preachers today. Few actually care for the souls, or grow in the desire to feed the flock daily. These preachers only make a lot of noise. They eventually get discouraged and leave the presence of God. The Word of God is not an easy sword to handle. If you don’t love God, you cannot stay faithful till the very end.

‘How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! ‘ (Isaiah 52:7)

Dear Christian Brothers and Sisters, what a privilege for us to tell the world about the love of God and share His peace with all. May God add to the house of God each day, just like He did for the early New Testament church. May God bless every saint to live exemplary lives for the glory of God alone.
