“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
The Word of God, or the sword of the Christian soldier is used in love. It’s never meant to attack another human, but the enemy, the devil. It is shared with humans as preaching or in comfort to remove the blindness that plagues the soul.
When Peter shared the gospel on the day of Pentecost, many who were around heard and were convicted. They were so pricked in their heart that they desired to know more.
“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Acts 2:37
