Who will find the Bible useful in life?

Is the Bible useful to you? Do you find it profitable to grow and live joyfully?

Who is the Bible useful for?

All who love Jesus will keep His commandments, walk in the instruction of His Word (1 Timothy 4:15,16). The Bible is useless to all who enjoy the world and the things of this world (1 John 2:15,16).

When we neglect the conscious, intentional study of God’s word personally, we reject Him practically and publicly. We become victims of our own undoing.

God gave Jesus to us so we live as an overcomer (Revelation 3:21).
Not as victims or the fancier word today, “survivors”.

I believe in the power of words

Words are not for play. They are crafted to create life. Words are spoken to echo into the hollow state of our hearts. Words are written to transform minds. Jesus, the word of God, was freely given to us to bring freedom to those in bondage and comfort those in suffering. When we live according to the Bible, we abide in the Word of God, or the words of God. Jesus manifests in all who live in Him, in His words.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (2 Timothy 3:16)

The worldly learn from the counsel of experienced and materially successful men. The child of God receives His counsel from God alone for all matters in life. The Word of God cleans us healing the heart and renewing the mind.

Jesus is the reason for my every season

We may be good writers, or speakers or doers, it's vain if Jesus isn't glorified as the only reason for all good in our lives. He is the author of all faith that glorifies God in us. Only God is good and worthy of all glory, honour, power and praise. He inspires us when we open our hearts to Him. He speaks through us when we desire His love.

The Bible makes this truth ☝️ clear to all those who are spiritually alive, saved through a personal encounter with Jesus (or His Word). To those who are led by the Spirit of God. Not the natural mindset.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:14)

I will desire His Presence Always

A love letter is no use to a stranger. Only when we love Jesus will the letters of the Bible, inspired by the Holy Spirit, fill our hearts with love. To know Him better, and draw closer to him as we approach the day.

What did God say regarding His presence to all those who live for Him?

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (Matthew 28:20)

Every morning desire the love of the Father; the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the sweet fellowship of the Holy Spirit, rest and abide in us until Jesus comes in His eternal glory.
