Promise For July!

Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go. Isaiah‬ ‭48:17‬

Our God is a Teacher. He is a God who teaches us to profit which means He will teach us for our own good; and direct us in the way we should go.

The wise King Solomon, after amassing wealth, riches and knowledge declares in Ecclesiastes 2:11 - .. all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun. There is a day of wrath coming in which no amount of wealth or riches, could save man - Proverbs 11:4.

In this new month, let God lead and teach you how to run for His love, grace, mercy and forgiveness and escape the day of wrath.

UNPROFITABLE THINGS IN THE SCRIPTURES:

The flesh profiteth nothing [John 6:63]. Run away from the lust of the eyes and flesh. There is a constant war between the flesh and Spirit. If the flesh wins it’s of no use because being fleshly minded is death. So give space for the Spirit through which we get life and peace.

For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? [Mathew 16:26] - The message is pretty clear here. As I said before, King Solomon was the richest man on earth during his time. Not only did he acquire wealth and riches, he was also a very wise man. There was nothing under the sun and above the earth that he had not enjoyed. Yet his end was miserable. He did not do anything for his soul.

For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come [1 Timothy 4:8] Desire to build your inner man, by living in the fear of God and His Word. It will profit you even in Eternity.

There is no profit in outward circumcision. Romans 3:1. This was a very important act among the Jews and they followed it religiously. But St. Paul changes the definition of a real Jew as one who’s heart has been circumcised, in the spirit.[Romans 2:29]. A heart that has had inward circumcision, is one that is set apart alone for Jesus. This is what God desires of us.

May God help us forsake those things which do not edify us, but rather help us to hold on to things which are profitable for us - and make us worthy to meet Him.

Be blessed 💕
