No Room For Hurt

We are children of God. Not the children of this world. We mustn't get offended because of anyone, or in any situation. When do we get offended? When we consider ourselves more than we ought to. When we set earthly expectations or our mind on the things of this earth, it attracts desires of the earthly man. Feelings of pride and importance take over. When earthly expectations aren't met, we quickly give in to the old natures. We are in this world, but not of it. If we do not live as strangers, we will desire the world. Unfulfilled earthly desires that war in us cause us to fight and envy. It opens us up to hurtful feelings and dejection.Jesus made himself of no reputation, and yet fulfilled the will of the Heavenly Father. How? He obeyed the Word of God. He was willing to suffer for mankind.A sad truth of today’s times is, as believers crave for attention and a name, they get easily offended by others, be it believers or even non believers.Jesus said, you will be persecuted and put to shame because of him. Then what name are we trying to build in our lives apart from the name of Jesus?I need to die for Jesus to live in me. Who am I? Why should I die? I was born in sin, saved by grace, cleansed by the power of God unto an eternal life with Jesus.I must die so I can bear rejection and false accusations for the sake of Christ.

“Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.” (Matthew‬ ‭5:11-12‬)‭

The Christian life is the narrow way, we will be hated and accused for the sake of Christ. Unless we do not give up our self, we cannot live as overcomers.

“And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” (Matthew 11:6)
