Love the Word of God more than your position in church

There are rules in every church, and all leaders need to keep those rules without compromising biblical standards. When teachers, ministers or leaders fail to keep bible standards they should step down on their own. A pastor consistently erring in multiple areas must be suspended or removed. It’s easy to desire removal or punishment for those in power but how that happened needs to be addressed so it does not happen again. Yet, it’s a common problem as we get closer to the rapture.

Anyone who holds a public office, ministers or followers, must be accountable i.e. willing to apologise or be punished publicly when the issue is evident to all, young and old. This is biblical truth and supposed to be followed by all bible believing churches. No one should be kept in the dark or it will badly impact children, youth and new believers in the house of God.

When the church slacks and does nothing about it, the world enters the church. Any worldliness among ministers or teachers in the church left unaddressed or dealt with lightly, brings spiritual unrest and the evil spreads. Specially when followers aren’t reprimanded.

Unity can never be established when people in positions choose to do their own will and impose their authority over the followers.

We are in the last days, and this challenge before us can be countered only through prayers and praising, followed by being exemplary in our walk with Jesus no matter what! Spirit baptised believers must take this challenge head-on by standing in the gap.

The walls are broken, the gates are burned. Yet, our God is merciful when His children turn to Him for the restoration and rebuilding of the house of God.

Nehemiah was favoured by God to help rebuild the broken walls and gates of Jerusalem. After building the walls, Israel did what was the most critical i.e. fast, pray and reignite the word of God in their minds and hearts.

Now in the twenty and fourth day of this month the children of Israel were assembled with fasting, and with sackclothes, and earth upon them. And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all strangers, and stood and confessed their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers. And they stood up in their place, and read in the book of the law of the Lord their God one fourth part of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshipped the Lord their God. (Nehemiah 9:1-3)

Unless there isn't a unity in spirit (mind & heart) and in truth (word of God), the unity is vain, the house of God will remain broken and error prone. When we compromise the word of God and perform duties for the sake of duties alone, we err greatly, causing our downfall and of those who hear us.

The religious folk were ritualistic and lacked the standards that God desired of His children. When Jesus ate bread during a sabbath day, they had a problem. When Jesus healed a person on the sabbath day, they had a problem. The religious folk were so obsessed about themselves that in the obeying of the law they forgot love and mercy. The Pharisees really cared about their positions and status more than actually understanding what the word of God desired of them.

Jesus had a vehement desire concerning the house of God which many ministers and leaders fail to showcase. Many are scared to uphold Godly standards of love because they are afraid to fall. They have more faith in their fear rather than the word of God that promises to uphold them.

Be Jesus. Live everyday for the unity and healing in the body of Christ, in whatever capacity you can, wherever God has placed you. The best time is always now.
