How To Stop Sinning Against God?

If you want to stop sinning against God, stop living in fear. Also, if you live in the fear of sinning, you will sin. Why? Because you are confident you will do it. Even though you present it as a doubt (What if?).

Why do we have this fear?

It’s because we are focused on what we can do for God; rather than what He has done for us on the cross of Calvary and rising again the third day bringing victory.

Why do we still continue to live in fear?

It’s because we underestimate the work of this fear that torments a person into self condemnation, and helplessness.

How to drive this fear out of our lives and stop sinning against God?

Perfect love casts out fear. Yes. It takes a more powerful love found only in Jesus through the Holy Spirit that can tear apart this enemy.

There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love]. (1 John 4:18)

When perfect love fills our heart it produces the faith we need to overcome every fear that hinders the work of God in our lives.

Cry and pray. Remember His loving kindness. God will deliver in the warmth of His amazing love. The moment we think we are better than before, which is true the more you pursue God; you will find a new angle of issues within yourself to overcome.
