Most believers often dismiss this reality by thinking “He’s Jesus so it’s obvious He lived like He did”. Oh! He is our example for a reason and came down to show us how to exactly live.
He was fully God, unlike us. Yet, never used His power as God.
He was just like us on earth. Fully man, just like us. God’s heavenly science project exhibit for us.
Being fully man, He never said anything of His own. Neither did anything of His own.
Speak the words of the Heavenly Father
“He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and *the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.”* John 14:24
We too, like Jesus, are called to heed the voice of the Father and do His perfect will in our lives.
Jesus was anointed by the Heavenly Father to do good and walk in victory
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth *with the Holy Ghost and with power:* who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38
Like Jesus, we are called to walk in the power of the anointing. What happens when the Spirit of God is upon us?
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, (Luke 4:18)
Jesus was a nothing. A nobody, as man. He humbled Himself. He became nothing for the glory of God (Philippians 2:5-11). Therefore the Father glorified Himself in Jesus.
We are called to be like Jesus.
Not I, but Christ.
May Jesus increase and I decrease.
Maranatha! Praise God & Amen.
