Heal Your Heart with the Truth!

Everyone desires to know the Truth. What is the Truth? We grow up with so many questions about life and our very existence. How to journey through this world is a mystery for those who don’t know the truth. It’s actually much frustrating when you don’t know why you do what you do!

The lack of knowledge about the truth opens us up to feelings of inadequacies in life. Nothing ever seems enough. During school, comparisons led me to believe that I‘m not good enough, like the other students. They always got better marks, even though I gave my best studying. All those feelings where I felt I wasn’t capable enough or intelligent enough or spiritual enough were huge deterrents to my walk in this life. I was being lied to.

We were created to be loved and delighted in. Yet our lives are stuck in achievements and fulfilling expectations of people. The truth is something else.

When Jesus prayed, He asked the Father to sanctify our hearts with His word.

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” John‬ ‭17:17‬ ‭

Our hearts need sanctification. To be made pure consistently, and continuously. God is holy, He desires we be holy. That’s why He gave us His Word, in Jesus. Today, we can have as many Bibles as we want. What’s missing? A deeper longing for what’s in it. Jesus revealed that the Word of God sanctifies us. The word that is truth, can make us holy and pure.

We’ve stopped believing in the purifying power of the Word of God. Which is where the entire struggle in life is.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Sin tries to re-enter our lives in different forms. Till we die, we grow learning to overcome evil, moving from glory to glory on earth, through the daily application of the word of God in our lives.

Loving God enables us to rejoice in Truth. (1 Corinthians 13:6)

This life is all about Jesus. When we align our every thought, Word and Action with the Truth of the Word of God, then we begin to see the work of sanctification in our lives. Not only will it reveal the love of God in our hearts for His Word, we will also rejoice or enjoy in it everyday.

Let's be doers of the Word rather than only preach.
