You can be like gods
You can be like gods, said Satan.
The first Adam wanted to be God.
Lucifer desired to be God. His lack of repentance led to his downfall, and he's only focused on destroying man.
At Babel, the fallen man desired to reach the heavens where God dwelt with human effort.
The Pharaoh tried to be a god to his people and even tried to go against the living God.
Aaron made a molten God for the Israelites when they lost their patience waiting for Moses.
Herod loved the praise of men and got deceived into believing he was a god.
Media and entertainment continue to feed man's lust for god-like power by creating new superhero movies. These have corrupted young imaginations, distracting us from the truth of who truly is powerful.
Data scientists and technologists have an arrogance about their innovations shaping the world today, pitting god-like technology against the sinful, fallen human wisdom.
The antichrist will take over Jerusalem and position himself as God.
The second Adam (Jesus) became a man to make us ONE with God for eternity. God came down as man to show us the correct way to Him.
Jesus exemplified the path of humility and lowliness of heart for a man to enjoy God's living presence. He overcame the world, self, Satan, and sin to become King of kings and Lord of lords.
Nothing can go against Him anymore. Are you living for Him or going against Him? Are you living in your pride, or are you Jesus' ride?
The time is short. Any moment, we'll be gone. Prepare yourself to meet Jesus.
