Why Do Many Pastors Fail?
Most saints lack the zeal for the house of God. Why is that? It's because they've given in to spiritual manipulation. Spiritual manipulation is the work of wicked spirits, and they can go to any extent to tear down sincere believers.
Matthew 11:18-19 KJV | John the Baptist was called the devil. Jesus was called gluttonous and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners.
Two of the mightiest figures on earth, perfect in their expression of their faith, were treated terribly. One was beheaded, and the other crucified. They lived for the glory of (the living) God and were called names befitting mad or foolish people.
The spiritual violence against us requires a mightier power to help us stand. God gave us a sound mind, love and power, so we can exercise its use to grow and help others.
Our fight is against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:10-12). These are evil forces from the army of Satan attempting to attack our thoughts and feelings.
WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS WORKING AGAINST US?
Pride that pushes you to think about life outside of what God has revealed. (Psalms 104:4)
Hatred and deceit (Proverbs 26:26). The Jews were full of mad rage against Jesus.
Mischief creators who can't rest till they disrupt relationships or sow divisions (Proverbs 4:16)
They lurk around waiting to tempt (Matthew 22:18)
Desire rewards of iniquity, like Judas (Acts 1:18)
Contentious spirits that love unrighteousness, indignation and wrath. (Romans 2:8)
Murmuring natures (Luke 15:2)
Mockers (Jude 1:18)
Sensual spirits (Jude 1:19)
Condemning and manipulative spirits that lay unnecessary burdens and subject people from growing in the Lord (Matthew 23)
The list is long. But you get the gist. Nehemiah faced great opposition as he led the building of walls and repaired the gates of Jerusalem for worship. You will face it as you labour for God's glory.
God fights for the humble. He exalts in due time. Stay immersed in the Spirit to keep your zeal in control. He will see us through.
Get your gear on! Jesus is coming, Praise God, and Amen.
