Stay On The Track God Has Prescribed

A backyard is a safe place for children to play. It's fenced, meant to keep the area private. A child can play freely in the backyard with minimal parental supervision. The child is fully aware of the code of conduct about playing in the backyard.

When the child's curiosity gets the better of him, he peeks into the neighbour's yard, wanting to know more than what he should know then. A new struggle persists from thereon between the parent and the child.

Akin to our relationship with God, we often let our curiosity go beyond what God has prescribed. Our haste to know more than necessary causes unrest because of breaking the code of conduct given to us through His word and Spirit.

When we transgress the lifestyle code of the new man in Christ, we bring destruction into our lives.

"... Behold, for your iniquities have ye sold yourselves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away." (Isaiah 50:1)

We tend to always blame sins alone for our miseries. What about your transgressions?

Heaven has a code of conduct

Every spiritual blessing we've received from heaven in Christ has boundaries.

Salvation is like a wall around us, and praise its gates. Faith in Christ is a lifestyle.

Let the words of our mouths and the meditation of our hearts be acceptable to Christ.

Curiosity killed the cat because the devil convinced it that it was a bat. It went to the terrace and jumped into the sky, only to fall flat. I just made that up. But you get the gist of what happens when we transgress God's word. What happened in the garden of Eden still happens today!

Stand in faith, and walk in the fear of God. Even if it feels like darkness, trust in Jesus, and your end will be a blessing (Isaiah 50:10, 11).

Maranatha, praise God, and amen.
